Groups are treated to an interactive learning session involving the use of live animals, museum items of interest and a PowerPoint presentation. All in all the presentation is designed to be both useful and a lot of fun, an experience never to be forgotten.

 

REPTILE ORIENTATION

Takes about 4 hours.

  • Habits and habitat.

  • Safety Techniques.

  • Safety Protocol.

  • Up to date first aid and safety precautions.

Veterinary Reptile Orientation

This course is designed for the reptile enthusiast, game reserve managers, safety officer, designated snake catcher at mining and other industrial plants with little or no reptile experience.

 

HANDLING

(Snakes, Lizards, Spiders, Scorpions) Takes one day

To attend the course persons must be eighteen years or older and proficient in English.

  • Theory and Practical

  • Safety and precautions.

  • How to capture in varied situations.

  • How to release.

  • Collecting information.

  • Summary

Advanced Reptile Handling

This course is designed for the experienced reptile enthusiast, game reserve managers, safety officer, designated snake catcher at mining and other industrial plants with little or no reptile experience.

 

HANDLING

To attend this course, individuals must attend and successfully complete the BASIC SNAKE HANDLING COURSE. To attend the course persons must be eighteen years or older and proficient in English.

A certificate is issued to all course attendees on successful completion

This tour is designed to offer veterinary students additional insight into reptile care, husbandry, medicine and disease.
